Remembering Daniel

Today marks the three-year anniversary of Daniel Snow's death. For those who are close to him, there is nothing I have to say. For those who didn't, you really missed out. Daniel only lived 16 years, but he made the most of them. He wasn't supposed to pass this early. But he did.
Everyone has their own way of dealing with things. Some cry, some pray, some get angry, and some do all of these in a whirlwind of emotions. Whatever you do, do something. If you met Daniel, whether on the football team, in IB at Paxon, or if you just knew him randomly, he left a mark on your life. Unfortunately, the bright young student lost his life the morning of Mother's Day in 2004 on Sawpit Rd. In a way, the tragic experience seems like it was yesterday. But then it also feels like it was ages ago. Regardless, we need to keep his family in mind. If you pray, I know you pray for Dan. He's fine now. His parents, on the other hand, have to deal with missing their first-born son. Alex lost his older brother and role model that day. As you go about your day, say a prayer for Dan, but also remember that his family is still greatly saddened by their loss. From my experience with the family, they love to keep up with Daniel's friends. Keeping touch with us is holding on to a piece of Daniel. The Snow's are welcoming calls, letters and e-mails. You can also drop in and visit them, but let them know first. Here are the contacts:
